EXPERIENCE

Peter J. Burrows, MD is a member of an elite group of about 100 urologists in the United States formally trained to perform microsurgical vasectomy reversal and practice male factor infertility.  After finishing his formal urology residency at the University of Southern California, Dr. Burrows was accepted as a clinical fellow of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at The Baylor College of Medicine. 

Dr. Burrows’ fellowship focused on a high volume of the most complicated male factor infertility patients from throughout the world. This included state-of-the-art microsurgical vasectomy reversals, sperm aspiration, varicocele repair and male hormonal manipulation and replacement.  Dr. Burrows has written several important reviews on male factor infertility and andrology.

Dr. Burrows was recruited by many well–respected urology groups in order to bring his abilities of microsurgical vasectomy reversal and expertise on male factor infertility and andrology to a community.  When Dr. Burrows was introduced to Dr. Sheldon Marks choosing who to join became easy. 

Dr. Marks over the past 11 years, had developed The International Center for Vasectomy Reversal (http://www.dadsagain.com), a true center of excellence for microsurgical vasectomy reversals and sperm banking.  ICVR has a dedicated operating room with two operating microscopes and dedicated nursing staff for the sole purpose of performing microsurgical vasectomy reversals along with patient comfort.  Dr. Marks was already performing 175 vasectomy reversals a year with the same outcomes as other centers of excellence.  Dr. Burrows found in ICVR and Dr. Mark’s team the philosophy and commitment to excellence that he hoped one day to realize. 
    

Since joining Dr. Marks and The International Center for Vasectomy Reversal, Dr. Burrows has been able to apply his craft of microsurgical vasectomy reversals at least three times a week.  Dr. Burrows has had the opportunity to treat patients at ICVR from many different states and countries.  Dr. Burrows recently performed a microsurgical vasectomy reversal on a man 40 years following his vasectomy and found motile sperm on both sides! 

Since adding Dr. Burrows to the team, The International Center for Vasectomy Reversal has become the only vasectomy reversal center in the United States with two dedicated microsugeons committed exclusively for vasectomy reversals and sperm acquisition.
